I did I search for this topic and couldn't find anything, I believe I've read here on TY the Nytro RTX floats fit - anyone using them on the MTX. You'd think with the narrow stance the shocks would be different, unless the mounting points are different! Anyone using the Fox Floats on the MTX?

I put floats from an Arctic Cat M-series. Same length, slightly longer stroke, much easier to find. Almost impossible to get the RTX shocks from Yamaha.

RTX shocks fit perfect, I'm running them on my MTX.

Just an FYI and something I heard, the local dealer told me the AC shocks with the longer stroke will bottom the bellypan on the snow before the shock bottoms out. Like I said, just something I heard, but I would watch it carefully. Again, this is only with AC shocks.

I ran them all weekend with several "big" hits with no issues. Ran them @ 85psi, what a huge improvement over stock.

I don't remember the exact #, but the difference in stroke was minimal.

According to my dealer, their price for the RTX floats is $400 each and they aren't even available right now from Yamaha or Fox.

17.5" opened eye to eye
12.75" closed eye to eye.

les at yamaha told me the nytro shocks shortys and mtx's will all interchange. gytr, mtx, and floats. ski

This happened to me this past weekend. Both on the trail ride back, in whoops, about an 1/2 hr apart (6miles). I hope Yami comes thru for me.
I'm going to try and get them to upgrade to floats and let me pay the difference.

Ouch! Suprised they snapped there rather than bending.
