Just installed a set of Floats on the Attak. How much air pressure are you folks running for this chassis. I set them at 45lbs and it seems as if it may need more, (a lot of set-in). Have a friends with Floats on his X-Fire and 45lbs seems much firmer ( much lighter sled in the front though ).

I don't have fox floats (looking at getting them though) or an attack, but I was talking to throttlejockey yesterday at Haydays and he said he runs about 55 to 60 lbs on his Apex RTX.

I run about 60 - 65 in my RTX.

I would say around 60-65 lbs as well. If the trails are smooth dropping to 50 will only help the cornering as it drops the front C.G.. I would start at around 80 lbs. and just drop it five pounds each time until you find a sweet spot.

I ran 60 to 65 on the RTX as well
thinking about getting a set for the attack or maybe a set of Ohlins

I run mine at 65 also, have tried from 85 to 50 and 65 does the trick for me,nice ride and great cornering still.

IF YOU LIKE TO HAMMER THE TRAILS AND RIDE HARD 75 PSI IS THE WAY TO GO FOR A 250 POUND RIDER AND DON'T FORGET THE HEAVER REAR SPRING

I ran mine mostly at 60 psi, I found it to ride smooth and corner flat.

I ran my Nytro last year @ 75 and was perfect. Tried between 55 and @ 85 and seem to have the best performance @ 75. Just purchased the RTX, will see if the same setting will work, you just have to play with it while on the trails, doesn't take much to tweek. Alot also depends on the rear traction and front carbides..

Yep, 55-60 seemed great for all conditions, Could go alittle higher for smooth trails, but I never see those

You guys are checking the pressure with the front end off the ground I assume.
How do you do that on the trail?

I just picked up a leftover APEX ER. I am 225 to 230 without gear. I am looking at going with the HYGEAR rear end set up and was wondering if the front shocks need to be updated to match? Any suggestions?

Thanks for the info....increased to 60lbs, feels better in the shop, time will tell when the snow starts to fly. At least i'm in the ballpark for the maiden voyage. Also just install a ROX AV2. I shortened my OEM riser by 1" now with the ROX stacked on top of it, I ended up with a 1" rise increase. Feels like a pretty good fit for me ( only 5' 10" ).

Yeah....You want to adjust them with the weight off of the skis. If you need to do trail side just tip the sled on one side and do the shock that is in the air, then tip it the other direction and do the other one.
