What is it with track clips on this OEM Ripsaw on my 08 LTX??? They keep coming off and my sliders last barely 500 miles. I think it may be the fact these tracks have very few windows and fewer track clips so heat really builds up in low snow conditions. I have noticed that all other branded sleds have plenty of snow inside the skidframe while frequently mine is dry.
I am almost wishing this track would shred out as my next one will be fully windowed and fully clipped.
My dealer is installing the little wheels in the middle of my track to see if that helps. Can't put on a set of regular wheels there as the suspension will hit them.
Anyway, just wanted to rant, otherwise I love this beast!
Just had a ton of snow here in Kawartha Lakes with over 20 cm of snow on the lakes......beauty eh!! :jump:

the wear pads will help but if sliders are burning off in 500 miles then its from lack of lubrication. ice scratchers solve the slider problems, track clip problems, overheat problems. they can be mounted on the skis, rails, or under running boards (my preference).

make sure your rail tip caps are tight and do not move. you may have to drill them out and put a nut and bolt through there

Thanks for the tips guys. Tried the ice scratcher thing but they kept ripping off with aggressive riding and forgetting about them and going in reverse.
