My daughter and I headed out from Newport on the Rail trail yesterday. We enjoyed groomed trails on all of ITS 85 North to Monson. Very few icy spots. The trails have held up after the rain and the groomers are doing great!

The rail trail from Newport up to Monson and Greenville for lunch, and back is a great day trip, and close to home. Glad to hear that it is in good condition; maybe with the snow they are predicting it will be even better for next weekend.

We actually ate on the way back in Guilford at the Red Maple Inn lounge. Haddock sandwich for me, taco salad for her; it was good! The rail trail from Newport up to Monson and Greenville for lunch, and back is a great day trip, and close to home. For us it has always been a “tradition” to have lunch at Flatlanders in Greenville, but we will have to check out the Inn.
