Front Fox Shock Bushing Failure???

Yes the sad day has finally come that I am summerizing my RTX. It has been a great season with many great rides. We were very lucky to finish off the year with a 2000km ride in the northern Ontario Region of Timmins Cochrane, Abitibi and Kirkland Lake.

Getting back to the issue. In going over my machine I noticed that I had completely lost the bushings at the top of my Fox Shocks. I removed both shocks and found the bushing on the other shock brittle and falling apart as well. I am assuming by the shape of these that this is a wear item. Is there a better type of bushing that will not dry out and crack off? This could have been disaster if it had failed the attachment point at 100mph.


Thoughts?

Happened to mine in first couple hundred kms Mike at Port Yamaha covered warranty. Thanks Mike

I'll put a call into the dealership and see if it is still covered under warranty
