Front skid shock and spring from 07 Apex RTX?

Just wondering if anyone has tried swapping the front skid shock and spring from an 07 vintage Apex RTX skid into an 09 Nytro XTX skid? Only reason I am asking is my front shock is blown out on the Nytro and I have a complete Apex skid available for parts. I can see that they are different part numbers, but I am guessing the only difference is shock valving and spring rate? My current setup on the Nytro is REALLY heavy on steering, so I am hoping to find something to take some ski pressure off as I currently have the stock Nytro spring adjuster fully tightened.

might be the same base rate shock and just a spring difference. as yours is toast, all you could do is try it and see.
