Saw this on the Yamaha (US) site under the RS Venture GT/TF sleds and wondered if it is new and if anyone knows what the change is?
•Front suspension geometry
The new 15mm trail offset on the ski mount helps minimize inside ski lift due to centrifugal force during turns. And, by optimizing the amount of resistance from the snow surface that’s applied to the rear end of the ski, including forces from bumps and ruts, this offset helps the RS Venture GT achieve its amazingly smooth handling, including its excellent straight line performance.

If I'm not wrong, I think this is what they did to the Apex & Vector a couple years ago for less darting.
It must just be making its way to the Venture for '14??

Its because of the power steering

What I'm wondering if anyone has knowledge of this change wrt having found any improvements and if it is adaptable to older model years without major changes or expense? What exactly has changed?

This change increases steering effort so you wouldn't want to do it to a sled without power streeing.

Ummm, interesting - one change leads to another.pdiddy said:This change increases steering effort so you wouldn't want to do it to a sled without power streeing.
I guess that is another reason to make the pwr steering sled more desirable - it should also be more stable.
