My 08 I had the plain Fox floats and I couldn't stand them and went to GYT dual clicker shocks and it made a world of difference. On my 2010 Rtx I added the Z-Bros 3"+1" front end and right now have fox floats with the Hygear resi's and was thinking of getting them and the rear revalved. The question I have is am I better off doing that or going back to GYT style dual clicker shocks instead? Seems like the spring style had more forgiveness for a mix of riding conditions then the floats. How much of a difference will there be between these and the Resi setup I have but haven't tested yet? The sled also has the 128" relocation kit just to give you an idea of stance etc. Want it to handle bumps, and moguls, but still be civilized on the normal trail or corners. Thanks, for the help guys

sheetwright said:Will shocks from a 09 XTX fit a 2010 rtx? I assume they are the same ski stance, and only the MTX is different then the XTX, RTX and FX models correct?
yea the xtx and the rtx share the same front end with 17.5" shocks in all years. the xtx,rtx and the mtx also share the same 17.5 front shocks in 08, in 09 they changed to 16.5" on the mtx, then back to 17.5" from '10-present

Call the boys at hygear up and talk it over with them. They kow way mor about shocks and setups than most of us do.

Ya I talked to them and they think they could get them close but were more concerned about the rear on the rtx. Which I will send out once I get the sled back from Ulmer. They siaid the rear causes a lot of the front issues, and needs larger hoses etc. I see the original z bros runs spring style, but they are awfully pricey for a sled I may keep for two years or so. Waiting to see what comes out and for them to work out the bugs of the first years new models before I buy a newer model and style of sled.

They basicly told me that the oem shocks on my rtx would be about as good or better than the aftermarket stuff once they rebuilt it with upgrades and valved for my weight.

Kinda off topic but do you have the front end on the sled yet?

Yes he does. Thought it would stable it out on the turns and long lake runs. Just picked up the gyt dual clickers and will have them revalved to my setup and weight with the rear. Why did you ask if its installed?

This is last years model. 43"wide plus 1" forward. Got it slightly used from a guy who needed stock spindles on a trade and cash deal. The shocks I picked up for the front were just revalved. I still need to rebuild the rear. Went with a 128" relocation kit from ulmer also. So would be nice to dial it all in together.
Here is the kit I have http://www.zbrozracing.com/ars-fx-a-arm ... wer-models but in the matt black
