Is anybody else's reverse freezing after riding on a really cold day? Is there a way to stop it? Mine is already full of grease but ice builds up between the shaft attached to the lever and the piece it slides in, which stops it from coming out. I had to pry it with a screwdriver to get it to come out, then it wouldn't go back in. It's fine now that the weather has warmed up.

Mine did it one time last weekend too. I didn't think too much about it because it was so damn cold.

It was -18*F, I know that's not cold to the Northern folk but I have to say at that temp I'm O.K. with a few things freezing up. If it's a big deal and those temps are somewhat consistant I would think of a shield for the mechanism. I think what's happening is that the moisture is being pushed to that area from the vents (which you need so covering them up is not really an option) then it of coarse freezes. It even happened to me once on my Apex so it's not just the Nytro, while it is more prone due to the rad being were it is.

moisture gets in the grease and it freezes that why you dont put grease on brake or throttle cables
