Fuel is getting into my oil somehow ( quite a bit). It was running fine last night other than a few boost leaks that I have fixed now. Fixed the last boost leak today and now the thing idles horribly missing on cylinders and the oil has fuel in it. This is a home made kit but does anyone know why this would be happening ? It's an 08 nytro with a Mitsubishi 16t and neils fuel sds fuel system. Was Idling and sounded good last night and day before what has changed? Also where does the idle air line from the throttle bodies go? Into the intake plenum?

I did have this happen once on my SC Apex. When I was first setting my sled up it was running horribly rich and would barely run. I kept riding it and my low oil light came on. I checked the level and noticed the oil was very very thin and smelled of gasoline and was high levelled.

Not sure exactly what happened here but I changed my oil and adjusted my fuel setings and it has never happened again. My sled had no miles on it at the time. The gas should not have washed past the rings but I don't know what else it could have been.

Your problem sounds a bit more in depth as your sled is not running right now. Hope you get it figured out!

Too rich mixture will wash the cylinder walls to the point the oil and rings will not seal and the unburnt fuel is pushed by the rings and down into the oil pan contaminating the oil.

How do you fix the too rich mix? And once you are getting gas in the oil, does it require a ring job or will fixing the mix solve the problem?
