fuel pump, filter

Has anybody had trouble with fuel pumps on RX 1? I brought mine inside to change oil and shocks. Started all summer long. Now it wont start, does not appear to be getting fuel. Only thing I had done was to remove airbox. Checked all connections, TORS, has fuel in tank. Other question is what is the easiest way to remove fuel filters from inside the tank?

remove fuel lines from outlet side of pumps and with a small funnel fill both lines with fuel. re-attach lines to fuel pumps. install new spark plugs and try to start it. its very unlikely that both pumps stopped working. if it fires up, let it run for a few minutes to completely warm up.
