I just about finished installing my Full Excell exhaust system and when I added the Excell bracket to the exhaust heat shield, the shield does not seem to want to fit back over the studs on the rear part of the shield/tunnel. It's flush at the front of the shield and it sits 3/8" in the air on the rear of the shield. Unless I push really hard on it and then throw the studs on too tighten the shield on, it will it go.... But I don't think it's right. Also, my bracket came with 2 pieces to it.. One piece is about 5/8" thick and the other plate that sat on top of the thicker piece is abot a 1/4' thick. But looking at Excells instructions, which are junk, it only shows the thicker piece to it in the picture... But, my bracket came with both pieces together with the bolts are ready in them. To me it;'s too thick there and when the shield goes over the muffler, it's putting to much preasure on the header and exhaust which is forcing it down at the end. I think I should remove it, but it's unclear... Any help for those that have installed the full system.... Thanks..

I just finished enstalling the full excell on my 09 XTX and did not have a problem. Just be sure you do not tighten all the bolts from the header bracket or the clamps until you have it loose fitting to your preference.

Was your excell heat shield bracket have 2 parts to it... I did tighten the 2 bolts first, maybe I should loosent them up and then tighten after I have the muffler strap installed?

From what I can recall, there is only one part to the bracket and the two bolts. I will see if I took some picks of it and will post.
