FX to XTX convert kit

Check out hartmaninc.com. Haven't used it, but they have tons of different track kits for different yamaha sleds.

Trouble with the Hartman kit is that it relocates the skid back increasing ski pressu re and losing great hookup. The Ulmer rails bolt in and givethe added length and still give you great hookup

If you're looking for someone who offers a set of rails with the "kickup" in back like the XTX, I don't know of anyone doing that yet. Topgun is right though- don't move the skid unless you have to- check out Ulmer. They seem to be the "marquis" name in Yamaha mods. I helped a buddy put one of their stage 2 clutch kits in his RX-1 this weekend and I was very impressed with the quality of the components- plus, the easiest clutch kit install I have ever seen. No special tools or anything (coming off Doo's, this really impressed me!)... Had it installed in 15 minutes between the two of us. If my XTX wasn't already so close as it is, I might think about one... :)

The set back skid will help the approach angle. You could counter the ski pressure and find a happy medium.

Believe me we have worked on that setup, there is no happy medium. The track angle is improved but even with the sissor blocks out the sled will NOT hook even with a decent track and ski pressure is a factor.
If you rode the mountains alot i would say that kit would be perfect with the improved track angle, but not for average trail driving and drag racing.

topgun;

are you happy with the Ulmer kit? did it help the ride much, I have had my shocks all revalved and that did wonders as well as the front and rear coupler mod. but I am looking for a little bit better ride in the bumps and some floatability in deeper snow.
