Got to run one weekend with 2012 Poo 800 & one weekend with 2012 Doo 800 E-tec. Both thought my Yammi was a heavy "tank" as one put it. They both knew i'm a much more experienced rider, but they believed all the hype of my "heavy" sled & were quite surprised in the trails where they couldn't touch me. All sleds stock & set up for trails (no weight transfer gimmicks here like you see on Youtube). They have 96 studs & i have 128" ice-ripper. My GT seems to be a bit faster than the average Apex. The Poo handles great, but requires ALOT of rider input on trails making him very tired compared to me. Once i convinced him to run high test, he could hang until 90 or so. Impressive sled, but after watching him in trails, i had no desire to try his sled. He was slower, used more gas (just a little), blew $40 in oil, spent more $ for gas & was tired from riding. The Doo was very upset he couldn't beat me. He weighs 100 lbs. more than me, but just couldn't understand how my 7500 mile sled that weighs 150 lbs. more & 14 less HP could; as he put it "walk away from me". Actually it wasn't that bad, but he was running 87 octane & this time i waited until the trip was over before convincing him to run high test. Well i'll admit i spent alot of money to get mine to handle good & it still probably doesn't handle or bump as good as there's, but mine is 6 year older technology. Neither one will buy a Yammi, but they both have come to respect the BLUE (it's actually black, but you know what i mean)...P.S. i averaged about .75 to 1 gallon per tank better than E-tec which is why he ran 87 octane. He does weigh more, but i'm waaaaay more throttle happy...

funny i ride with a xp 800r and i consistently use 5-6 litres more per fuel stop then the doo does
First of all my sled is a tad faster & better mileage than average Apex. That may be why i'm first to over-heat. Secondly the Doo now has 700 miles on & maybe just breaking in now. Thirdly he does weigh 100 lbs. more than me. Fourthly he needs to run the higher octane which helped the Poo. Fifthly he needs to learn how to roll the throttle off the line to stop spinning then i think we'll have a race. I hope he doesn't read this...
