There is no snow in the St George area. I would avoid it if you can

Just came back from St. Zenon. Plenty of fresh snow, conditions are near perfect, couldn't get enough of riding. Too bad I had to tow my Buddy's F-7 in!!!

You're making me drool! I'd love to go back but would need a bit more notice. A buddy + I did it after you and I talked about trying to make the TY Ride, SnoRover. That was 3 wks ago but there were areas that were pretty low on snow around Rimouski/Mt Joli (it was all blown off of those long stretches of fields - just dirt) and also we heard enroute that it was sketchy out around the tip so took 595 that cuts across (NW-SE) and it was very good. The border along NB was very good. Hopefully, it has only improved since.
:ORC I would caution EVERYONE that because of all the tour groups operating there now, reservations are highly recommended for most of the Gaspe' these days- especially in Feb. (I am someone who does not usually make ANY) We got into New Richmond and had to scramble to find a bed for the night there. Again, there were probably 60 sleds parked in front as a result of a couple of groups and that was the problem.
If you take 595, gas is very limited after you commit. The 'cache' on 595 is a small pair of buildings that has no electricity but runs on a generator and has gas, food and a few rooms. It is pretty 'rustic' but is in the middle of a long barren stretch w/o any services and is a pretty welcome sight.
P.S. Wish people would realize St Zeon is nowhere close to the Gaspe'. Other side of the St Lawrence and many miles/kms!
