gauge mounting options

i am wanting to put some mechanical autometer gauges on my 2012 mtx. i am looking for some pics on mounting options. i would like to put them in front of the cluster on top of the "dash" panel but i am not sure if it is strong enough. i am going to put a oil pressure,water temp, and a boost gauge on it. any thoughts?

just wrapping up fpp & painting project here are some pics that i have of my gauges, they are glow shift single pods, i cut a 1/2" wide by 3/4" long slot so the mount would drop in, then used expanding rivits to hold together

I moved my gauge up to the steering post and mounted the gauges in its spot. I haven't added the water temp yet, however I left a spot for the third on the left

looks good. what kind of hand protectors are those, looks like what im looking for?
