Gear Oil

I am going to change my drive chain oil.....the manual says to use SAE 75W or 80W API Gear Oil. I am going to use Valvoline Dura Blend Synthetic Blend 80W-90. what is everyone else using?

Amsoil Synthetic Chaincase oil. It is clear in color so you are able to tell when it gets dirty and should change it. Works very well and is relatively inexpensive.

do you know how much the oil is needed?

Depends if you have reverse or not. Add slowly until you are within the marks on the dipstick. I don't have my book at home, but I would think it is listed in the manual somewhere.
