I have a 03 shorty that I took to 136 before I ever rode it. Over the summer I will become a 151. Gearing sugguestions please.... BTW elevation is 1000 to 3000ft and I am running 8 tooth drivers (extros)

I'm running 1000 to 3000 like your.

Stock form, my mountain came with 40-23, with 151 in track.

in trail, very very strong, in 1 or 2 feet of snow, ok, but 3 and more, to high, from a dead stop in real powder, that a little bit hard to start, it's will dig out a bunch of snow, before dieing just a little bit and regain life.

i change my 23 for a 21, much better overall, i'm really poor in clutching, i know anything. It's why i ride with the stock weight and my sled over rev a little in trail. If you just Boondock, i think 40-22 maybe great. My buddy has 40-22 and ride great in flat, he just need more in climbing, his motor loosing rev quickly, mine too, but more slowly .

In slush, that amount of torque is great, but that amount of pound is'nt so

If it helps, Tundra has the type of riding pictured, and I am going with a 2" track... BTW it almost looks like the sled in the last picture was headed the wrong way
