I have a couple of questions about my 07 Phazer. Its more of a general topic/question, so I'm posting it here.
1. On the 4 strokes, is the voltage stay around 12 volts. I want to add an accessory plug, so besides putting in an inline fuse, do I need to put a voltage regulator in? Hook directly to battery or on a switched circuit?
2. On my ski's, the spindle/ski spacers are different lengths. Can I switch them so I have a little wider stance. I know that a wider stance is good, but will I hurt anything? (inside spacer is about 1/2", outside is 3/4")
I have been asking a few questions that some may think are "dumb", but this is my first Yamaha and first 4 stroke sled. It is vastly different then my old one, so, as always, thanks.

A pre-wired ACC plug is available Part Number 8FP-8254B-00-00
It's a true "Plug and Play" to the existing harness with no additional wiring required.
The spacers on your skis are in fact meant to adjust the ski width. You won't hurt anything by moving them around.
While you may catch someone in a foul mood who will generate a "use the search button" reply, the only dumb question is one that's not asked.

I find that there is always someone here more than willing to answer all kinds of technical or general questions. And even though sometimes the answer maybe somewhere else it never hurts to revisit a topic from time to time.

Depends on whether you need power when the key is on or off as well as how much power you need on the acc plug. I have two on mine - one is a larger draw unit hooked direct to the battery - plus an atc type fuse - and another feed tied into the ignition harness which is hot when the ignition is on even if engine is not running - atc inline fuse added for protection. The yam acc plug / play unit is only hot when the engine is running which sucks if you want to use it for a GPS or such.
