Dim headlight and taillight.............'98 MM700

My Kid called me, and said his '98 MM700 has a real dim tail light, and the headlight is a dim yellowish color............not bright white.

Went online, and there are 2 parts relative to the voltage regulator.( I'm
guessing that's what it is. ). Part #1 is the Rectifier and Regulator assembly, and part #2 is the Voltage regulator assembly.
Anyone run into this before ??

check the ground first it may be corroded...
