I need some input on getting the traction I will need with a new 200-210 HP supercharger kit on my 2006 Apex RTX.

(1.) Studding absolutely needed?
(2.) Anti-ratchet drivers a must?
(3.) Must I install a 136" track?

I want the least expensive way to get the most traction I can and not completely revamp my suspension/drive train. After all the SC kit is expensive enough. But you got to do what you got to do right? My wife just will not understand.

I dont know much about the studding and what not but the drivers are a must!! This is what mine looked like after only 56 miles of 12lbs of boost, look at the center.

I went with the Avid drivers and after 800 miles of 15lbs of boost they still look new.

What brand of extroverts were those? I don't ever want to get those...ouch. Either the size for the shaft was wrong or you got some serious hook up on that!!!

What brand are the white ones?

They are made by avid products, they are CNC drivers for the apex mtn but belive they make some for the shorties too. I dodnt know what size the shorties run but mine were a 7 tooth. They have a website on the net, just look up avid drivers.

The shortys run a 2.52 pitch track and you can run alot more hp on those drivers without them having a problem.

I'm not saying the Avid's aren't a better product - they are IMO.
But I have a set of stock Yamaha drivers with over 1000 miles and boost that look much better than that. And most of the damage on them, is from running in low snow conditions.
If the stock drivers are run with a properly tentioned track and in good snow, they will hold up under boost. Not as good as Avids or Whals, but they will hold up.
This is all based on good fluffy Colorado snow.
