Glasspack Or No GLasspack

We pulled the stock exhaust out of one of my sleds and just left it open where the clamps up front are and it sounded like crap. Too extremely loud. like a 2 stroke with a can but twice as loud and twice as crappy.

I love my yoshimura. havent found a sound as good as it yet. its amazing.

Bracket was made by the yamaha dealer who put it on.

your yosh sits back further than my glass pack I am going to have to remove my pack and have moved back further. That will fix my problem.

Just a pain to get all the work done and find out that it is not working right. My glass pack is only 3.5 in diameter and I can not find anyone up here that has a smaller one.

I also run extroverts so my track is as loose as the adjustment will allow me to go. I may just tighten the track for the weekend

Hum? the above picture makes me wonder if I should saw the stock pipe off a little further back from the "Y" to get the pipe back out of harms (the track) way?

Frosty

On my exhaust, we cut off the pipe right where the Y necks down to the oval pipe piece. At the muffler shop they welded on a 12inch long 2inch inner core dia. glass pack. weight savings of 20lbs. the track is always going to " rub-a-lil" if you have got extroverts or any bigger dia. pipe.
