I recently cut my track down to 1" also went with smaller studs and went from 162 studs down to 108 studs also added 8" wheels with the offset axle.changed out all stock wheels to the 5.35" wheels. before this I could easily get in the 120's at 10,500rpm and with only 200 miles on sled now i'm having hard time getting 113 on speedo. since then i've added the cr10 plugs and ram air and still no top end. and now I have about 700 miles on it,sled is a 08 apex ltx gt. and i'm still reving 10,500rpm. and also it seems really strong on the bottom and mid range it just feels like something is holding it back on hte top.

so you think the wheels would make that much of a difference. what about track tension, i don't have a scale but where the track hangs down the most its about 1 1-4". could that be to tight, or to loose, could it be balooning

with my 135mm wheels, my track glides, i got alot more top end, when you put the 135mm wheels on did you get your holder's saved down so they didn't rub

i don't think it your wheels, i set mine with the doo wheels 135mm all 6 wheel, the narrower hyfax (old style yamaha ones), the slp anti-wear pads, in the closed holes, pulled up one on the limiter and run my track as loose as possible so it doesn't rachet, never had a problem on my attak, done 117 on radar, my track glides
