cant speak of the klotz. However been running the Mobil 1 75w-90 in my 09 xtx. I just took the chain case apart for a track change and didnt see a hint of wear or a speck of metal. Around 3500 miles. Change it every season. 13.00 for a quart.

myself and a friend have used klotz for years without any problems. The one problem we are running into is getting the product. its starting to get hard to find from a local dealer. Not many people carry it. Might be switching to amsoil.

Klotz chain case oil
So here is my experience with klotz chain case oil. Last year I was playing off trail and landed pretty hard on a rock. Unknown to me at first that I broke a chunk off the bottom of the chain case and rode another two hundred miles. My sled / chain started to whin a little at speed. Finally found the missing piece off the bottom of the chain case, had about 100 miles back to the truck and trailer. My riding buddy's asked if I just wanted to leave the sled and come back for it. I decided the damage was already done so I would just ride back. Of course I slowly rode trails back, between 70 and 80 mph so I did not have to listen to the chain whin. Made it back, changed the chain and the bearings and the cover, but have all the confidence in the synthetic klotz oil. I feel it drastically helped me to be able to make it as far as I did with no chain case oil in the case. All my sleds run klotz synthetic chain case oil.
