GPS Selection

I am getting ready to buy a new GPS for my Attak. It will be a Garmin and will either be a 60Csx or 76CSx. They are about the same price. The 76 has a bigger memory card & floats plus there seems to be more RAM mount selections. Anyone have any thoughts?

I do like the buttons under the display on the 60 better than over the display on the 76 but.....

I am on my third GPS, a Garmin 378C, very happy with this one. I use it on the sled, Boat, and in the car. never failed in the cold or heat. It has a very bright display (very important), also the size of the display is adequate. I started with a Lowrance, went to a 176c Garmin (could not see it in bright sunlight).

I went with the 60CSX because of the buttons on the bottom. As far as floating, I didn't think that was a big deal since I won't be using it on a boat. As far as Ram Mounts, they offer them for all models. Here is my set up. Notice that I ran the wrist strap around my handlebars as an added saftey measure incase the mount ever fails. I am also getting into custom map making. Its a lot of fun.

i like the ram mount for the 76 looks like will hold up longer. have you looked at the 276c yet i was going to get the 76 till i got to see the 276c at the store

I love my 60csx!!! I find that I'm usually only looking at the map when I'm stopped, has big number display for mph and is small enough not to get in the way when you're riding hard. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the input everyone. Some good looking installations. I have a new 60CSx & RAM flat mounts coming. The smaller screen is fine with me. I ran into a tree once, looking around at slow speed. I will be stopped when I look at this thing and I got lots of positive feedback on that unit.

I have a 60 series and a non-color legend. Both work great. You'll like the 60, Its a nice unit.
