When I put apex in reverse it just makes a grinding noise. Guessing linkage needs to be ajusted. Which way do I move the linkage?Do I make linkage longer or shorter?

The upper link should measure 27mm from the inside of one jam nut to the inside of the other, the lower rod should be adjusted so that there is zero free play when in the forward position.

Adjusted linkage but it still wont engage in reverse. When on a stand the track will spin but on the ground I can hear it grinding. Just had the chaincase apart Did I forget something or should I adjust the linlage more?

Make sure your chain is adjusted properly...finger tight, then back off 1/4 to 1/2 turn.

It almost sounds to me that you didn't get the shifter fork into the slot on the sliding gear.

Pretty sure I put shifting fork in but does it go on from the top or bottom?

Had the same issue when put my chaincase back together. Didn't have the fork in the sliding gear properly. Pretty sure the shift fork needs to be on the top.

If I remember correctly the fork goes in from the top. It's kind of a pain to get it in, just take your time.

I didn't think the chain case cover would go on unless the fork was inserted correctly. Thats how I remember it.
