Grizzly 600 carb popping off intake boot????

a little more detailed info from my buddy
OK here goes, I bought the machine about a month half ago now, it worked good for a short time, then all of the sudden it would spit out the carb off the intake boot once or twice a ride, but maybe never on some rides. I put the choke on and after a couple minutes of letting it warm up pop! Off come the carb, I called a dealer and the Service department told me check the valves, timing or the flywheel (may have broke the key off?), I checked it all and it was all good, but, then I notice the Intake boot was ripped, and I was like yes I found the problem, I ordered a new one and drove it for days (about 4--5 days), thinking it was fixed, than all of a sudden out of the blue pop! Off comes the carb again. Thanks for the help

I have heard of this happening. I had a 600 for 5 years and it never did happen to me. I remember something about an improved boot . It seems that it happened more to the earlier models but it should have been fixed by the 99 model year. Mine was a 2000. I would send Grizhopper a private message. He knows a lot about these machines.
