I ran my sled out of gas and now i can't get it to fire up. It tries to start but just won't catch. I also tried ether which made it so it wouldn't even try to fire. I am wondering if the plugs are fouled, but i don't understand why running out of gas would foul the plugs. Im also wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that i put in the 10ek plugs. I hate how long it took to change them and it is 4 degrees (f) outside. Please don't tell me that i am going to have to go back to my stock plugs because changing them out in this kind of weather would almost be impossible.

the plugs is the only thing I can think of I have ran my fi out of fuel and filled it back up and started it but never fouled a plug.

this question may be a stupid one but is there any way to clear them out without taking them out and sandblasting. if i have to take them out then i am probably going to go back to the stock plugs because i ran out of gas last year with them and didn't have any problem getting my sled to fire back up with the hotter plugs in there.

Is it possible that you flooded it ? Did you squeeze the throttle in desperation ? I think you need to check the plugs one way or the other.

I am not sure if this is your problem but on my first ride this year on my 06 it kept stalling and would turn over and not fire and then would start up and run for awhile then do it again ,I was about to tear into the plugs because that is what I thought also, but my wife of all people said why don't you try some gasline antifreeze, and as much as I hated to admit it to myself I thought she is probably right and sure enough I added a bottle of isoprpyl ,it now runs like a champ.

do you hear the fuel pump cycle when you turn on the key?
