gutted nytro exhaust

on my vector and my apex has both been too quiet and i didnt want to spend a fortune on a aftermarket exhaust so on my 2008 nytro i took off the muffler and cut a 3 sided square with the plasma cutter and folded the peice up and then cut 5 nickel sized holes out of the baffle closest to the outlet pipe.It sounds great not to loud and not to quiet so that th police wont bother you. Great sound and no cost i encorage you lads to try this thanks :bling :bling
 

srry lad but didnt i just say it isnt loud enough to get bothered by the police or cause problems? where i ride noise isnt a problem where do u ride?

Mostly QUEBEC Laurentians and Mauricie and COPS and trail WARDENS are real strict!!! we lost a good section of "Le P'ti Train du Nord" cuz of NOISY sleds and propably will lose more in the coming years! and if I'm not mistaking you lost a section in the KAZ area a few years back...someone was also telling me that in Wakefeild SLEDS are banned on their streets, its not looking good for the future and if we're not careful...well you know whats going to happen.

Don't get me wrong I'd love a WHITE KNUCKEL exhaust on my APEX, man what a sound!!! I drule every time I here it LOL, heres the link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yqdYf6gLgE
 
I also did a little modification to my stock exhaust, and what a bit@$ it was to weld the multi-layer shell back together. I drill the two transfer ports out, plus drill most all of the baffle holes bigger, and you can't hardly tell any difference in the sound.

I'm kind of with this. Maybe it doesn't matter where you ride, but around here it would get several local trails shut down. We ride through alot of peoples back yards and their only request is try to keep the noise down and keep on the trail. I'm sure it sounds good, but one reason I love my sled is I can barely hear it with my helmet on. Still, if this is what you were looking for, good job!
 
YA they ask if we can keep it donw and for the most part I think we are all doing a good job at it. BUT this summer I was at a party and this guy and his wife show up on there bike loud #*$&@ hell you could hear them from over a mile away and when I seen who it was I could have kick him in his AZZ. It was the same guy that want the trail move out of his backyard because the sleds were to loud. EVERYONE WANTS IT THERE WAY OR THE HIGHWAY. :die
 
This reply is to snowcorss racer 242 when u welded the layers shut did u weld all them indivually. i welded just the top layer and didnt worry bout the others iv done this modification to 5 of my 4 strokes and never had nay problems.And on the nytro i found a significances sound difference . thanx for the input lads keep it comon
