gutting stock exhaust???

Alright, how do i go about gutting the stock exhaust on my RX-1 warrior? I have a pretty good idea, i just figured i'd ask to see if i was missing something.

I'm figuring the muffler is in the middle on the bottom of the sled, under where the seat is maybe? So i just unbolt it and go at the insides with a broom stick right?
