Hi Guys,

Anyone got a slick way to remove the stock heated grips from an 03 RX1 without ruining them. I want to change to mountain bars and re-use my old grips. The rivet needs to be drilled out, but aren't they epoxied on as well? If so how do you break them loose? Heat them up first? Can I wire them directly into a battery to get max. volts and enough heat to break the epoxy free. Thanks for the advise guys.

if it heated up enough to break epoxy free then it would probably melt the plastic, because most epoxy ive used is heat resistant, and im sure thats the same reason they put it on, heat resisting, so it doesnt come off when your riding

You can also use air and an air gun with a small end to get under the grip. A good blow does wonders even for a hand grip.
