Hey guys, need some help here, I got some OEM muffs and they came un-packaged without directions. I looked @ the pic on yamahas accessories Web Page and it looks like the go over top of the hand blockers. But not really getting them to fit very well.. If anyone can lead me in the right direction or has a pic. Of them on I would really appreciate it. Bought them for a big trip next week.. Thanks!

These? If so they just fit over the stock hand guards.

I have seen the oem ones, wayyyy too tight. bought a few brands until I found some large ones that stay open to use easily, which is important. have them on both machines and will never ever ride without them, even when its nice out. the few people I have seen give them a try are emediately convinced its cozy. I also took those stupid bike guards off and tossed them, worthless

Sorry I have no experience with these...I would think you would have to take your guards off though.

Yeah that's what I thought, going to return them.
I have the katahdingear gauntlets. Fit is good, easy in and out. They have a wire built in the opening to keep them open. I think they were like $30. Fleece lined too.

i have the POWERMADD handguard guantlets which are installed over the stock plastic handguards when its cold, and the yamaha hand guard flares when not that cold. note...only ride with small sno-x style gloves and never been cold, they aren't the prettiest things but work well.

I have the powermadd guantlets over my stock handguards also. My hands are allways warm. Without them my hands froze.
