Top of bar to bottom of bar on an 09' XTX is 3.5" - just went out to the garage to measure. . . .

Depends if it is an RTX, MTX, XTX, or standard FX.
The FX and XTX have the 3.5" that sticksintheface measured.
RTX models have a taller riser block mounted on a pivoting steering post shaft and have less rise in the bars thenselves.
