If I were to add handlebar hooks to my '06 Vector GT, can I retain the stock grips? I wonder how much of the grip end would need to be removed and if that would cut into the heating elements. I nearly fell off the other day when my left hand slipped off the end of the grip after landing a little crossed up from hitting a snow bank. It doesn't help that my left radius and ulna are held together with two 6" plates and a dozen screws and I'm getting arthritis in my fingers. :o|

:rocks:

Be really carefull when you cut into the end of the grip and you should be fine. I just used a skill knife with a really sharp blade, took my time and voila... others may have an easier/cleaner method, but the 'jaged' edges left by the rasor blade were covered entirely by the hook.

Falling off SUCKS! ;):D

Here are some pics of mine.

you only need to cut or drill a small hole in end of grip.just big enough for hook shaft to slide into.no need to cut end of grip vertical way.

if you need hooks i have some brand new in black 45 degree angle for $10 each .they are plastic and wopnt take away heat from hand grips.
