Hi.
Got a 2008 Nytro RTX, and i need a bar riser. Have looked around at some different ones.
Just wondered how long the cables are? Can i add a 6" riser block? Will the cables still be long enough? What about 7"?
Looked at the adjustable ones, and at the lakeeffect risers.

Without a doubt you will need a throttle cable. I added a 2" Riser to my 08 RTX's stock riser and had to reroute the cable to get it to not race the engine when the bars turned all the way to the sides. I didn't like the routing so I replaced it with the cable from the MTX.

Is it tricky to replace the throttle cable? Anywhere online to buy it cheap?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Anything else than the throttle cable that needs to be extended?
What about brake line? Cables?
Will the standard pivot risers fit on the RTX? without any additional adapters?
Looking at the adjustable FLY racing riser and the MTX throttle cable from dirtcheapsnow.

Congratulations man! Welcome to the wonderful RTWSWABD community - Ride The Whole Season Without A Burn Down ;-)
I wish I could answer some of your questions but I can`t.

I can`t wait to have a look at the RTX

The Yamaha part catalouge tells me that the RTX and MTX has the same throttle cable.
They have the same part number: 8xx-26311-00-00
FX NYTRO RTX: 8GL-26311-00-00
FX NYTRO RTX 40th anniversary FX10MTRAX: 8HA-26311-00-00
FX NYTRO RTX 40th anniversary FX10RTRAX: 8GL-26311-00-00
FX NYTRO MTX FX10MTRX: 8HA-26311-00-00
Anybody who can confirm wich throttle cable (and brake line?) i need on my RTX to fit a 7 inch riser?
Thanks!

I installed a MTX riser on my sled with only re-routing the cables. No need for new cables. 7" is questionable.

Think i'll get the ROX adjustable riser .. from 4 to 5.5 inch adjustment.
And if i get it right, i can still run the stock cables.
