Has anyone solved the oil consumption problem?

guess after i do the compression check and the vent tube thing Ill try seafoam.......again. im not real close to a yami dealer that id give my money to. maybe ill get some ringfree next time im at peacock.

OK, I am going to start using the Yamaha ring-free treatment. Easy enough to do. I hope I get enough riding in this season to see if it makes a difference. Thanks for all the information, much appreciated!!

I happen to have 4 QTS of Marvel Mystery Oil sitting in my garage so I dumped some in the gas of my 04 Warrior (It can also be added to the oil)
I'm going to give this a try this season and I'll see what happens!

I'm also looking at used 05 Warriors that don't burn oil

also make shure your vent tube going to the air box has been done there was a tech tips in the 2004 book page 3-12 this might help if can not get it let me know and i can email it or call jerry 807-274-6907

I have an 05 and didnt notice really any oil usage last season. I only put on around 1000 miles though. What is the vent tube modification you are talking about here?

The '05 had the new style rings. You do not need to think/worry about excessive oil consumption. Also, the '04 and newer models had the Vent Tube change. So you do not need to think/worry about that one either.
