Ok, I swear I'm not going soft on you guys BUT I used to allow my young children to ride in front of me on the RX-1 Mountain (when the riding was very tame) and on the trails.
They are getting too big to see over now and are too young to ride their own sleds on the trails (legally). So, I wondered if the occasion warranted it I could bolt up a touring seat if the kids are coming with me that day.
Then of course I'd take it off for one up and mountain riding so I can feel manly again.
Has anyone done this?
It seems like it would work with minor modification on a RX-1M since the tunnel should be very similar in length to a tourning sled.
What do you think?

I too have pondered this situation and from the looks of things it would be a nice alternative. the longer seat might require you to move the canister or muffler further back onthe tunnel and alonger section of exhaust pipe

I use that RX JACK seat and it works great with my kids. 2 min to put on 4 screws and go. Done with the kids and want to head out with the guys, take it off and no one even knows it was there.

WOW! That looks like the ticket! What kind of price is there on them and how does it compare to the price of a Yamaha touring seat?
Can you get two kids (7 and 9) behind you?
Thanks.
