I have a 2009 Nytro base model. I had the shocks revalved when the sled was new as they were way stiff on anything but a realy big bump. Since then, if I set the torsion springs soft enough for good ride height and studder bump performance, it will bottom on the "g-out's " and sucker bumps. I made a set of anti bottom stoppers and drilled holes in the rail right behind the front arm mount to the rail. Now the skid compresses normally to about the final 3" of travel than the stopper touches the spring and the skid gets progressively stiffer. So far I like it and havent been able to make it bottom. I realize that some riders didnt like the stoppers on the original vectors, due to excessive kick back and not enough rebound dampening, but this dosnt appear to be an issue with the Nytro.

This was one of the very first mods I did on my 08, I bought the bumpers through yamaha from the 05 vector and copied the measurements for the three adjustable holes on the vector rails and I have had excellent results. Simple, cheap, and effective, the best kind of mod.

I have now ridden 350 miles with the bottom stoppers. Best (and cheapest) mod to date. I can set the skid to ride realy nice in the small stuff, but I have NO fear of bottoming on any of the big ones. Rides NICE!! I also put on some pilot 5.7 skis, no darting................none. Pushes some on groomed trail and pushes ALOT on soft snow. I have limiter pulled up one hole, this helped some, I may try two hole tomorrow.

Go to schmidt bros motorsports and check his out under nytro. Pics will give you the concept.
