I just spent 7 hours testing all the new Yamahas in Ontario. Before you do anything for 06 you owe it to yourself to check them out at Yamaha-Motor as this year Yamaha is truly serious about growing their market. Check them out at the shows, it only takes a couple minutes and will be time well spent and forget the weight BS as the new Apex is lighter than both the Mach and Fushion.

Anybody who knows me knows I don't have Blue Blood and if you want an honest impression email or PM me. My recent sleds have been 01 TCat, 03 ZR900, 03 F5sp, 02 ZR500cc, 03 RX1 M10 136", 03 Viper M10

In an hour 32 looks and 15 PM messages. Should I go on commission?

Hey man, I rode the '05s this past winter and I was totally blown away.
I cant imagine how great the '06s are going to be but Im looking foreward to taking a Nytro on a demo ride next winter!
Compared to the '05 RS Vector that I rode, my '01 600 XC just feels so antiquated and slow! Its a nice sled, but you just cant compare the ride and power of the XC to that of the Vector and RX-1.

Hey what are you doing in the U.K., I miss visiting ZRH when I was with Kuehne & Nagel Beautiful city and beautiful country. Gained weight though with the culture of two servings of everything.

Yeah, I moved in September from Geneva to England. I too miss Switzerland quite a bit as the little country has a lot to offer, including some excellent food. Have a fondue or two and you are definitely putting on the weight.

But now I am in sunny England drinking warm beer and eating fish and chips. Flight connections are easier though. ;)!

Some day I hope to hook up with the Ontario crowd for a ride.

Just came back from the Portland Maine 06 YAMAHA display, I agree they sure have done a great job changing the old style RX1's into the new APEXs. I am very impressed with the looks and feel, wish I could try them out. The new style gauges with their features, WOW. Rumors about programable fuel curves thru the gauge buttons much like the YAMAHA bikes were heard. One of the dealers showed us how he could get a d1 message from pressing and holding 2 of the 3 gauge buttons for an extended period, claims that with the bikes this feature allows for fuel curve programming, he wasn't sure about this saying that this is something he played with and that so far YAMAHA has not let on if it can be done with this system. Sure did get alot of attention from me !!
Only 1 problem, they make my 03 RX1 look and feel outdated !!! :4STroke:

If you hold one of the buttons for 15 seconds you can change the back ground lighting of the gauge by 5 diff levels......I am a convert to the electronic shock...............adjust on the fly............ ;)! wow :yam:
