I was going through my on-sled supplies and noticed that the regulator in the nose of my sled (where I keep my tow rope) had a snapped connector. I have not noticed any issues but then again I have not ridden yet (48 degrees today) only starts, charges, etc. So what would being disconnected effect? I have no idea how long it's been like this. Could have been years for all I know since thank God I haven't needed the tow rope. Thanks for your feedback!

Same thing happened to my 08. It also didn’t seem to cause any problems and I also didn’t know how long it was disconnected. I just repaired it and continued riding. I think it was a ground wire for the rectifier/regulator, most likely redundant.

Thanks Rick. That's what I figured...a ground wire. Still surprised nothing was affected. 40 and raining right now. This sucks!
