I'm a bit new to the MPI supercharger. Where in Canada can I buy this head shim. From a yamaha dealer? Thanks in advance for any info.

On the hurricane site, the head shim is .060. For 0-2500ft above sea level, would this shim be too thick for the MPI supercharger on 10 lbs of boost. If so, what overall thickness should I be aiming for to get the correct compression ratio?

I recommend that you use a .060 shim but be sure to set your cam timing. The engine will loose throttle responce unless your cam timing is set to 114 lobe centres.Call me and I'll help you

Thanks. I assume I'll need a gauge to set the cam timing, correct?

Perfect. I'm going to start this project when the summer heat is over, lol. There are more parts I'm going to need to install this used kit. Would it be ok for me to message you when I knows everything I needs. Thanks
Ps. I tried ur website too, but after the home page I keeps getting an error page.

X2. When you adjust the cam timing the throttle response is the same as a stock motor. Ran a shimmed motor unboosted for a day and it had great throttle response. Really lacking in top end though.
