First SJ you are not a happy person or you would take the time to bash someone else. Have you been up to Hauck powersports? And yes good luck about getting Ulmer on the phone. As always I never listen to what others have to about people or businesses and make up my own mind for myself. In other words don't be a tool..

well ill say it here.....Hauck sucks.... i bought a pipe for my apex that he claim to be only 1/2 dB louder than stock!! with the optional silencers..... let me tell ya after 1 ride it was off......the sled was WAY too loud......not only that the quality also sucked, looked like a 2 year old made it.....this time im running excell pipe and the quality is amazing and it sounds stock

Everyone has good and bas experiences with every dealer out there. I have dealt with hauck and have had great experience with him. No problems whatsoever. they answer the phone EVERY time i call, and there always is someone knowledgeable to talk to.....I have dealt with excell also and have had a good experience with him too.

well...lets examine the facts...I am a consumer...I live in Michigan....yet Ive dealt with everyone I post about...and thensome...and we arent talking one time...
Ive spent and lost thousands of dollars with hauck and got the run around from pat himself...yes I agree...they answer the phone....and take messages when you arent buying...in the end Pat blamed others for what I feel and others felt was his / their responsibility...I was given double talk and excuses for a brand new sled they did a big bore on which had problems at 800 miles...
I and many others I know have had negative experiences...with Hauck , but to be fair..I know some who say they have been happy too one of them is 2008fxnytro but that was buying a helix...and yes they have sell a nice helix....but if your friend found one in his tool box and gave it to you to use ...good luck finding out what it is unless someone else knows..
This aint my first trip around the turnip truck son...Ive owned oh about 15 modified yamaha's in the last 18 yrs and tuned a dozens others...Ive had the pleasure of dealing with some awesome tuner/dealers/manufactures like: bruce shrader, olav aaen, lonn peterson, randy nouis, verlin and val simmons, skinz , martin barkey, allen ulmer, brian holtzman, mac and heath at mpi , mark mussleman and dozens of others and have never had negative experiences Ive had with Hauck..
so when it come to spending my coin or those I watch out for...in a tie...IMO they lose..
besides, since you are in madison wisconson...my bet is your a hauck man and the Iceman is your man..
you think Im bashing...well then I apologize...just responding to a question with my facts...seems to me the poster wanted to know from experienced users where to spend his coin..
start a poll and ask where's the best place to get your performance stuff...I think the results will be what Im saying...

One big Happy!
I have the full Hauck Exhaust set-up on my RTX, after the install the motor was very easily bouncing off the rev limiter. Can't remember off the top of my head how much weight I had to add to the DNF's to bring it back down but it was a good chunk... Obviously makes more power than stock, does it make more than Excell or Aaen? No clue, have not used them.
I am a pretty picky guy when it comes to my toys and I think the fit and finish was very good. I would buy from them again. Also, I talked to their tech help about an issue I created and they were more than helpful.
Buy from someone you are comfortable with and have fun...
