Do not use the junk gasket that comes with the header- use the stock gasket and it wouldnt hurt to do a few heat cycles and retorque the fasteners before you put it all back together. Thanks very much

Shiiiiit ya I used the straightline gasket that it came with. May be going back under for a replacement. Are these known to be an issue and not hold up?

Was a few other posts stating that. I never got one with mine so I reused stock. No issues.

The straightline gasket lasted 20 miles for me and was leaking. I was getting popping when i was stopping and limped it back to the truck. I also did 3 heat cycles and retorqued it before putting it back together. Almost all of the fasteners were loose. I then bought a new oem gasket( which you probably could reuse your old gasket) and did 3 heat cycles and retorqued the bolts and havent had issues.

Did you guys notice a difference in power when you put the header on

I did! That header makes peak power at 9050rpm so that means you add weight to clutch and therefore gain speed.

I noticed alittle and even let my buddy take it for a rip before and after and he said it was quicker. I had to add weights.

Does it have to be a straight line header or would any header make a difference? I'm in canada and the exchange is killer but I could get a mbrp header for not bad a price

Do you have any modifications done to your airbox also?I did! That header makes peak power at 9050rpm so that means you add weight to clutch and therefore gain speed.

I never tested MBRP header so don’t know. Is test of Straightline/Ulmer vs EVO here somewhere I did. Straightline won.Does it have to be a straight line header or would any header make a difference? I'm in canada and the exchange is killer but I could get a mbrp header for not bad a price

Yes all my mods are in signature. The Stingray airbox mod works as well as any boughten ones that I tried.Do you have any modifications done to your airbox also?
