I broke my headlight today when my sled ended up on the windshield. The headlight broke were the 2 bolts attach from the sides of the plastic. I was wondering if anyone has fixed this or do i have to suck it up and buy a new one.

Fixed this for a friend's sled. Depending on the damage you can bolt on a metal tab to replace the plastic ones. Sorry I don't have any pics, but the fix worked great.
i fixed mine and its better than original, i have removed the pod many many times amd no problems. here is the fix. get some new bolts about 1/2 in longer with nuts.sand up (roughen up ) the cavity behind the old clip nut. try to glue or tape up the broken plastic tab to create a dam for the adhesive we are going to use. wax up the new bolts with some auto wax or release agent. put the bolt where it goes withe the nut abou 3/8 of a inch behind the original plastic that is now broken and fixed with the tape. lattle in some marine tex filling that hole cavity and completely surounding the nut and bolt and let dry completely.now remove the bolt .file if needed. to fix both tabs i used 2 small packs of marine tex. if ya think this repair will come loose you could put a couple small wood screws through the side before ya pour in the glue. i did not and it has not come loose ove thousands of hard miles.just tape up the pod completely so ya dont scratch up the headlight lense and get adhesive on it .it does not clean up well.

I fixed mine similar to the above post except I used a two part putty. It's a steel repair putty made by Loc-Tite but there are other brands out there. I super-glued everything back together, put the bolt all the way in then filled with putty. It shapes around the bolt but you can still turn it out and you'll have longer threads afterwards. Just for a little extra I cut a thin piece of plate metal (from a lumber tie plate) and glued that to the top of the tab to strengthen the glued joint.
So far it's worked like champ.
