Still finding my way around this new to me sled and having only riding it a handful of times, I'm a little suspicious of the heated seat. I' not completely sure that it' getting power. Is there an easy way to prove it? Does it have it' own fuse? If so, where?
Thanks, Kevin.
Thanks, Kevin.

You can unplug the cable connector that you need to pull when you remove the seat and check for power there when you switch the seat heater switch on. Make sure the seat heater cable plugged in too, somebody might have forgot to connect the seat heater cable when the pulled the seat and put it back on.
From my experience, the seat start producing heat when you get riding and not much at idle. I know when riding in the 20s low is too hot for me to be on all the time, but when we were riding in the UP last week it was below zero most of the time and I had the seat on high on my Cat & my son had his Viper on high all the time riding. When the motor is running some rpms I can feel the seat heat increase as well as the grips & thumb warmer. My shield defrosts better too.

Ditto with what the guys above said. Also, there's not much chance you wouldn't feel it if it's working, the seat gets pretty toasty.
If you are running your heated visor, grips, and thumb it will take away from the seat. I installed LED headlight. It does not draw as much power so that more can go to grips, visor and seat.
