Hi,
I recently purchased C&A xtx skis for my sled and they bite really well but I am wearing out my grips they are so hard to turn. I have my front shocks (gytr) set at pretty much full soft, I just put my limiter straps one setting looser which is now as full loose and the sled now is super tippy in the coners so I am going to tighten that up one knotch, the front shock in the skid has about half the threads showing. I have tried turning up the preload in the front skid shock but the adjustment rings are STUCK!! the tool in the tool kit seems pretty useless. I tried using a flathead screwdriver and a hammer and it still wouldnt budge. I also sprayed it overnight twice with penetration oil to try to loosen it up but still nothing.
So My question is if I adjust the adjuster block in the rear shock to "soft" will that transfer some weight off of my skis?
thanks in advanced with your help!

Dude,
The best Thing I did for my Nytro chassis was install new JRE Spindles and follow their set up advice, also the least expensive mod out there

First get your centre shock working properly. After reading from many guys, the best thing I did was back the spring on the centre shock right off, so the spring was loose and then turn the nut so its just snug, then 2 revolutions - and stop. Start with that and see how it handles. I have kept my shock there and there is good pressure/bite on the front ski and the bars are still easy to turn. MS

Did you shim the skis? I'm set up with no studs, C&A razor with 9.5 bars on them and skies shimmed 1/4. And I need to add who pressure as it turns way to easy.

This might sound dumb but, you do know one is a lock ring right? I only say this cause my friend was banging on his for hours until he figured it out. Smack the one closes to spring tight(clockwise) a good hit and you should be able to back off lock ring and from there just turn the spring itself to adjust. If it's that jammed tight, you might need another hand (friend) on the other side with a spanner wrench to break it free. Good luck!
