Would adding 5/16" washers under the helix show any top speed benifit as some found on the Rx1? I'm referring to the stock helix. Is there any down side to this mod?

yes if your engine is able to fully shift the primary and no there is no downside to it.

Anyone try it on an Apex / Attack yet? I'll be trying it on my next trip - but I don't think that will be until the 22nd of March.

personally i dont think you can get near shifting out clutches fully, unless you are SC or Turboed....The gearing should pull about 120-125 in theory,so unless you are running those speeds, you clutches arent near the point where your shifted out,so this mod will make no difference whatsoever IMO.
Just my 2 cents

yes it will ...I cut 3mm or 118 thou off the helix and put in a silver spring for full shift. and rec... another1/4 inch of travel on my primary. You have to change the spring to silver from pink as to prevent coil bind.or hang up.. Bill

machzed is right. I can run 150 on dreameter on turbo with stock gears and clutches on Attak. If it was binding in secondary it would blow the belt, at that speed, the track will blow before the drive belt, I guarantee it. Don't waste your time with washers. Mike Knapp#17
