Ok so it's finaly winter here, I have a few questions about the suspension on my 2004 rx warrior. It seems under light acceleration during slow speed turns, or even just maintaining speed, it's not turning the best. Conditions aren't great for snow right now, but it should be better I think.

-what does the weight transfer bar do??? Controls ride hight?? Should I have any gap with me sitting on it? if so how much?

-What can be done with the front shock, maybe decrease preload, and tighten up the limiter straps???

What wrenches are you using to adjust preload on the shocks?? If you could give me the yamaha part number that would be great.

I should probably just start playing around with stuff first, and then ask questions but its -25c outside, and my fingers arn't happy out of the gloves lol.

When you accelerate, the sled may wheelie a bit. You adjust the wight transfer rods so that the sled no longer wheelies, with your weight.

Then set the front spring on the rear suspension to stock setting and use the straps to adjust ski pressure.

The front Suspension Springs need to as loose as possible to keep the front end low. But they do need to have some pressure on them. Start with stock position and then see what happens as you back them off. Remember, the straps and the front suspension springs work together to give you the right ski pressure.

If you do set every thing back to stock, from then on only make one change and then test ride it to see what you did.

Then when you are all done messing around with the front suspension, straps and front spring on the rear suspension, go back and check to see if the sled wheelies or not. If not, you may want to try shortening the Transfer Rods a bit to the point that the sled just barely wheelies under maximum acceleration. Just a very slight bit off wheelie on maximum acceleration is the way I like it set
.

the only thing I can't find in my owners manual is the stock position on the transfer rods... I don't know why I am having a hard time geting my head around how this suspension works :(
