Help and Thoughts on Super Charged MPI Attak

Need some input from you guys on a sled that I am thinking about buying. I currently own a 06 Attak and love it for my long days of trail riding. I ride in the UP and there are long runs at WOT or 100 plus. I am thinking about a 06 Attak with an MPI super charger running 8#lbs of boost. The current owner told me he runs trails all day on it with pump gas with no problem and currently has 1000 miles with no issues at all. Can you please give me so input on this and your true experiences? My riding style is that I love long pulls and when we get in the tight corners love pushing it, well with safety in mind that is push it to the limit but keeping the sled on my side of the trail. Don’t like wrenching that much, but can do it when needed. I really want to make sure that this sled is going to be reliable for a long day of trail riding and some racing on mile runs or so.

If you need some extra power with little to no wrenching you will probably want the MPI supercharged attak . 225hp is probably enough hp to have fun with no problems to go with it ! Turbo's are a little more hp but require more babysittting and tlc !

I don’t think you can run 8 lbs of boost at WOT with no head shim and pump fuel. Might be able for short bursts, but I wouldn’t run more then 5-6 lbs which is about 200ish hp. All depends on how much you want to run on the edge I guess.

100% agree ran 7 psi on my apex and had lots of hard running on it but NOT WOT for more then 2000' I would hold it on longer at 5-6 but I would still not hold it WOT for long. Cruising at 100 is no problem at all its the sustained WOT running that will kill it.

The hotter your intercooler gets trying to cool that charger the more likely it will start to detonate and go down. I would hold it on like I say 2000' but longer no way, and not back to back to back runs.
