Is there a trick to remove the chain case cover on a 05 Vector with reverse. Removed eveything, brake caliper, rotor, locking collar, reverse linkage. Took some emery cloth soomthed any burs from the keyway, only pulls out about half way on the shaft and no further. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't help you but here's a tactic I use if I need a dealers input. I don't know if calling a different Province in Canada is like calling a different state here in the US, but you could look up a Yami dealer in Sask. and call them. Be honest and tell them the situation and where you're calling from. I can't recall a time when I've had a problem getting info. I use this tactic mainly when calling about used or trade-in prices, but have used it for technical help.

Did ya remove the bolt in the middle of the cover?

Thanx guys, one of the shift fork arms broke off and was wedged between the mechanism and the bottom sprocket. Just needed an extra pair of hands.
